Trial Overview
We are testing the longevity of mushroom cultures. This Black Poplar was ordered online a long time ago and left in storage. We are attempting to "resurrect" the genetics through fresh agar transfers.
Current Status
Stage: Transfer Success
After a recent transfer to fresh, carbon-infused agar, the mycelium has shown a surprising burst of vigor. The aged culture is successfully waking up and consuming the new nutrients.
Next Steps
We will allow the mycelium to fully conquer the new agar plates before moving to the next stage of expansion: Inoculating grain spawn.
